To me Home is more than brick and mortar, drywall, and paint.
Home is belonging. Home is family.
It’s an atmosphere you carry, a space you create.
It’s familiar and warm and trustworthy.
It’s a safe place to grow, to dream, to simply be.
Home is a place to return to again and again.
I grew up in southern Ohio in a modest, but lovely home surrounded by beautiful things. My parents knew how to stretch a dollar and had an innate design eye to use color, texture, and eclectic quality pieces to make a house a cozy home. Some of my fondest memories were watching my parents hang wall art or rearrange furniture for family and friends. Decorating and creating a sense of home was their specialty. And it seeped into me.
After graduating college, I took on various roles in university recruitment, health insurance, and office management, but on evenings and weekends you would find me decorating friends’ homes and helping pick out color for their walls. Returning to my creative roots reignited my childhood passion as I witnessed the joy transformed spaces and creating a sense of home brought to others. I thought it would just be a side hustle, until friends turned into clients and clients turned into referral upon referral.
In 2017, I launched Altogether Lovely Home, and in 2018 became certified as a Home Stager & Redesigner with Home Staging Resources. Today I am doing what I LOVE! I partner with sellers, realtors, and investors to transform houses into altogether lovely homes that most often sell quickly and for top dollar. I also work with homeowners who want to create beautiful spaces they enjoy and that reflect their own sense of home and style. My husband Mike works alongside me in the Greater Central Ohio Area, and we currently live in Delaware, Ohio with our two sons.
HOW WE WORK
HOME STAGING
While some stagers prefer the total creative license that comes with vacant staging, we enjoy both vacant and occupied staging. When staging vacants, we first access the home, then strategically choose furniture and decor that will showcase the home’s best features to draw in the right buyers. When staging occupieds, a Staging Consultation with Report with the seller is the first step. During the consultation, we put on “buyer’s eyes” and begin to build a list of prep work that includes tips to enhance lighting, recommended furniture placement, color and decor suggestions, and steps to create emotional connection points that will attract buyers. We love building relationships with sellers, realtors, and investors and helping them quickly transform houses into altogether lovely homes that most often sell quickly for top dollar. This can be accomplished without breaking the bank. By utilizing a lot of what the seller already owns, making strategic updates, and implementing a half-day or full day staging, we together create a home that buyers love. And getting the text “We SOLD it!” never ever gets old.
REDESIGN
Life can be busy, and often it is our home that gets neglected. The wrong colors, tired furniture, and outdated fixtures can weigh the home - and its people - down. When it’s time to take the step toward transformation, we meet with the clients for a Redesign Consultation to discuss their design goals and style. Whether it’s simply adding a fresh coat of paint to the walls and making a few decor updates or a total remodel with new flooring, fixtures, furniture, etc., we offer full redesign services that include our list of recommended vendors/contractors. With their personalized design aesthetic and budget in mind, we create a cohesive, beautiful design plan, then work alongside the client to see the design work to completion. The results? A stunning transformation, a place of beauty and comfort, an Altogether Lovely Home.
