Homeowners are always worried that a stager is going to require them to spend a lot of money.  I assured them that when working with Altogether Lovely and Sarah the goal is to minimize expense while maximizing value. While it may be necessary to spend some money, Sarah focuses on where to spend the “right” money on necessary updates to get the Seller the maximum sale price.   One listing that stood out in 2020:  I listed a home owned by a middle-aged man and his two brothers.  The homeowner admitted the home was a mess and he didn’t know where to start with clean up and decluttering.   I warned Sarah that this stage would be a challenge and that my expectation wasn’t high.  When the photographs came back on the property I thought I was looking at the wrong house!  I couldn’t believe the change!  Most of the work was simply knowing what to do with “stuff”, rearranging some furniture, and cleaning up in preparation for showing.  The added “magic” to this story is that because of COVID concerns Sarah did the staging appointment virtually.  She talked the homeowner through the process on her computer.  I was amazed and the home sold with multiple offers in days. “

I never thought Maylene would go for something like that, but to my surprise she did. I was at the house when Sarah came to do her magic. From décor for the walls, along with lamps for the end tables, accessories for the kitchen and baths, pillows for the furniture, area rugs, bedding, a coffee table and a couple chairs; what a difference it made! Maylene also agreed to have new carpet installed throughout. By doing all this, we received 13 great offers and sold her home for $55,000 over list price. It’s proof that staging works and by making a small investment went a long way. Not only was Maylene surprised, but she also couldn’t have been more thrilled with the results. It has definitely changed her mind about staging and she doesn’t hesitate to tell others about her experience.
